Responds to calls and visits from employees/management staff regarding employee relations matters to include counseling and advising.
Reviews requests for corrective action to ensure compliance with agency policy and state regulations.
Provides guidance and support to management and coordinates with the office of general counsel to ensure fair and accurate application of the corrective action policy and guidelines. Investigates and researches complaints of discrimination, harassment, grievance and other employment issues or conflicts.
Follows up in a timely manner with all parties and works towards finding solutions to resolve issues.
Properly documents all investigations and actions.
Ensures compliance with federal/state laws, agency policy and timeframes.
Prepare final responses and maintain records.
Receives and timely responds to requests for ADA accommodation.
Coordinates with employees, managers, and the office of general counsel to determine appropriate actions.

Requires extensive use of computer and agency operating systems, including proficient use of MS office products.
Valid driver's license and occasional travel to correctional institutions required, with inherent risks thereof.

A bachelor's degree and relevant human resources experience. A master’s degree in human resources management may substitute for the required experience.
