Employee Relations & Development Specialist

The Employee Relations & Talent Development Specialist supports a positive workplace culture by addressing employee relations matters while also coordinating programs that enhance employee growth and development. This role serves as a key resource for managers and employees by providing guidance on workplace concerns, facilitating investigations and conflict resolution, and supporting talent development initiatives such as training programs, onboarding, and performance development processes.

Employee Relations & Development Specialist Job Details

Employee Relations

  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on workplace issues, policies, and best practices.
  • Conduct or support workplace investigations involving complaints such as harassment, policy violations, or interpersonal conflicts.
  • Document investigations, findings, and recommendations while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with employment laws.
  • Partner with managers to address performance concerns and corrective action processes.
  • Create meaningful ways of tracking and organizing reported incidents.
  • Identify trends in employee relations matters and recommend proactive solutions to improve workplace culture and reduce risk of recurrence.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook guidelines.
  • Assist with internal communications related to HR programs and policies.
  • Support HR initiatives related to employee engagement, retention, and organizational development.

Talent Development & Training

  • Support the performance management process by assisting with overall review cycles, including new template creations, troubleshooting, tracking, follow-ups, and manager/employee guidance.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify development needs and recommend training opportunities to support workforce capability.
  • Assist with the planning of training programs and paths.
  • Partner with HRIS provider to build, troubleshoot, & manage the technical infrastructure that houses our various training programs.
  • Conduct or assign, implement, and track all company required training programs, including onboarding, compliance training, and professional development training initiatives.
  • Ensure all trainings specifically recertifications or compliance-based trainings are completed in timely fashion.

 

Employee Relations & Development Specialist Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychiatry, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Human Resources, with exposure to employee relations and training & development.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, workplace investigations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience working with HRIS and/or learning systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screening.
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with changing needs & priorities.
  • Roll-up your sleeve attitude.

Working Conditions

  • Full Time in office/cubicle work setting.
  • Fast paced work environment.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday with occasional off schedule support for urgent matters.
