CommuniCare Health Services is currently recruiting an experienced Leader for the position of Corporate Director, People Operations. .

Job duties & responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance and counsel to senior leadership and frontline staff on HR matters, including compliance, employee relations, workforce planning, and organizational development.
  • Oversee and standardize HR operations and processes across business lines and home office departments, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and legal requirements.
  • Act as an internal consultant to leadership on organizational effectiveness, change management, and team dynamics.
  • Partner with business units to deliver generalist HR support in areas such as talent management, performance development, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
  • Lead and support home office onboarding and engagement initiatives to ensure a positive and consistent employee experience.
  • Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, including conducting high-level investigations, reviewing terminations, and managing escalated concerns.
  • Review and approve employee actions such as rehires and transfers, ensuring alignment with policy and operational needs.
  • Conduct training and coaching for leaders on HR policies, best practices, documentation standards, and employee relations procedures.
  • Identify workforce trends and recommend proactive strategies to reduce turnover, mitigate risk, and improve employee satisfaction.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across core HR systems and workflows.
  • Ensure HR programs and practices comply with internal policies and external legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to support decision-making and promote continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement HR strategies that support talent growth, retention, and business success.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior-level HR operations or HR generalist leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success advising and supporting senior executives and cross-functional leaders in a complex, fast-paced, and change-driven environment.
  • Extensive experience handling complex employee relations matters, including investigations, terminations, and policy interpretation.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement scalable HR processes and operational improvements across a multi-site or matrixed organization.
  • Experience supporting both field-based and corporate teams, ideally in healthcare, long-term care, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience leveraging Workday a plus.
