Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Partner to join our HR team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and performance-related concerns. You will play a critical role in ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant employee relations practices while supporting a positive workplace culture. Below is a list of the core responsibilities of the role:
Manage and resolve employee relations matters, including conducting fair and impartial investigations into workplace complaints, policy violations, and other concerns.
Partner with managers to address performance issues by providing coaching on documentation, improvement strategies, and appropriate corrective actions.
Provide guidance on disciplinary actions to ensure consistency with internal policies and compliance with employment laws.
Maintain thorough, accurate, and legally compliant documentation of all employee relations cases.
Analyze trends in employee relations to identify root causes and recommend proactive solutions that support engagement, performance, and retention.
Support HR compliance efforts by ensuring alignment with labor laws, internal policies, and company values.
Collaborate with Legal as needed to assess risk and ensure consistent, legally sound resolution of sensitive cases.
Educate and coach managers on best practices related to feedback, conflict resolution, documentation, and performance management.
Assist in the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and training materials related to performance and conduct.
Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, offering guidance on conflict resolution and interpersonal challenges.
Balance business needs, employee experience, and organizational risk to drive thoughtful decision-making.
Participate in and lead cross-functional HR projects, contributing as a valued member of the broader HR team and influencing outcomes across the organization.
Education - Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. Four (4) additional years of experience can substitute for the required degree.
Experience - Four (4) years of experience in employee relations and workplace investigations. Experience working in healthcare, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations preferred.
Other Requirement(s) - PHR, SHRM-CP or equivalent HR Certification is preferred. Ability to travel between ICHS sites as needed. If using personal vehicle to travel, valid Driver's License and Proof of Insurance is required.
