Description

We are seeking a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial Field Recruiting Manager to join our Talent Acquisition Team.  As the leader of craft labor talent acquisition at CEC you will oversee bringing in the company's greatest asset, our people. This position is hands-on and engaged daily with field and office leadership to fill open positions. This role sources, screens, and presents offers for skilled trades positions and plays a critical role in strategically ensuring we source and hire the best possible talent company-wide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee full cycle recruiting process for high volume craft field positions.
  • Creates and posts job openings, sources, screens, interviews, and writes & negotiates offer letters.
  • Assist in developing and creating a comprehensive recruiting strategy to attract and hire top field craft talent, including electricians and other skilled trades.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies including sourcing, branding, and marketing.
  • Partner to develop creative sourcing strategies for high volume ramp-ups for skilled trades (local and out of town).
  • Partner with hiring managers to determine interview workflow, interview questions, and provide leadership training regarding recruiting policies and procedures at CEC.
  • Build networks of passive candidates in advance of the need to fill.
  • Post openings in most lucrative platform to attract quality candidates; monitor performance of such platforms to determine ROI.
  • Collaborate with field supervisors and operational teams to ensure candidates meet the technical requirements of the projects.
  • Coordinate workforce needs for ongoing and upcoming projects, adjusting recruiting efforts based on project timelines and requirements.
  • Partner with field and operational teams to forecast staffing requirements and proactively address any potential staffing gaps or challenges.
  • Use internet and social media for recruitment and employee engagement. 
  • Consult on process improvement recommendations as needed. Provide reporting on status of positions, hires, sourcing, and time to fill.
  • Create and manage relationships with schools, trade organizations, veteran groups staffing agencies, and other industry groups to build a strong candidate pipeline.
  • Hire, supervise and lead direct report(s) as needed.
  • Perform other special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 7 + years successful experience in recruiting and sourcing.
  • 5+ years construction experience in recruiting high volume trade positions (Electrical, Mechanical, AV, fiber optics).
  • Strong sourcing and networking skills.
  • Experience with using an ATS with HRIS proficiency. Experience with Paycom is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while meeting time sensitive deadlines.
  • Knowledge of local trade schools and apprenticeship programs.
  • Previous experience working with large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
