Description

Position: Finance/HR Manager

Status:  Full time, exempt

Reports to: Pastor


St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Gladstone, Missouri has an immediate opening for a Finance/HR Manager. This is a leadership position, responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the financial reporting and analysis, physical plant management and human resources of the parish, serving as the primary on-site decision maker with matters of significance. This position reports to the Pastor. 


Essential Duties

  • Manage and direct all accounting functions such as budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activity, and financial reporting. 
  • Prepare, administer and review budget process in collaboration with the Pastor and Finance Council.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance supervisor to ensure buildings, grounds, and mechanical systems are properly maintained. 
  • Direct the office administrative functions related to parish ministries and daily operations. 
  • Oversee and coordinate parish development activities such as special events, estate planning, and donor programs.
  • Manage the human resources needs of our parish staff, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, medical leaves, and policy implementation.
  • Manage the parish staff and volunteers.

Qualifications


  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in accounting, finance, business operations or related field. 
  • Experience with ParishSoft preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level in QuickBooks, Excel and Word.  
  • Practicing Catholic with ethical standards, personal integrity, and conduct consistent with the morals and teaching of the Catholic Church.
