Geographic locations MMSI currently operates include the U.S East and West Coasts, and Alaska. The Corporate Office is located in Southern California (Ventura) and its Regional Boat Maintenance Center a technologically advanced maintenance facility in Woodbine Georgia.

Job Summary:   Assist Chief Administrative Officer with administrative tasks in support of human resource functions: data entry, record-keeping, basic candidate screening, and other office related administrative duties.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

 Recruitment

  • Recruitment activities
  • Maintain Records
  • Ensure compliance with EEO 

 Administrative Tasks

  • Unemployment Claims
  • Wage Garnishments
  • Assist Chief Administrative Officer and Program Managers as needed and directed
  • Any Other Duties as required and assigned

 Administration and Maintenance of Human Resource Information System 

  • Employee Onboarding 
  • Employee Record Maintenance
  • Employee Terminations
  • Policy Rollouts as directed
  • Compile reports from database as requested

 Benefit Administration

  • Assist with administration of Employee Benefit Platform 
  • Review Provider Bills to ensure accuracy

 Administration of Drug Free Program in accordance with 49 CFR Part 40 and 46 CFR Parts, 4,5 and 16

  • Random Notifications & Result Tracking

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Proficient, MS Office Suite and Customer Service.  Strong organizational and planning skills incorporating current office technology.

 Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.  The physical demands include the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets bend and stand as necessary.

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment and “team concept”.  Required to exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopier/scanner and telephones.

Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time in office position. Days and hours worked are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Occasional travel may be required.
