Description

YRCI is seeking a full-time Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support our Human Resources Remote Operations Center (HRROC™), located in Reston, VA. YRCI's HRROC™ is a Shared Service Center that supports multiple Federal agencies and offers a friendly, collaborative team environment with access to training from industry experts!

The Role (Fully Remote)

  • Although the YRCI home office is located in Reston, VA, this position is fully remote.

  • Assist a HR PAR Processing team with a variety of processing activities to include: 

    • Process employee actions and/or personnel status changes using Federal HRIS systems (EmpowHR, NFC). 

    • Assist with preparing and coding Standard Form (SF) 52s and related agency forms using the Guide to Processing Personnel Actions (GPPA). 

    • Log and track actions in an automated tracking system (i.e. Salesforce, YRCI’s ROCAP system, Excel, etc.)

    • Execute a wide range of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), data bases, and retrieval methods to provide data for reporting purposes. 

    • Assist employees on technical matters related to employee records. 

    • Assist in resolving personnel transaction errors by taking corrective action. 

    • Support various non-recruitment personnel actions in accordance with appropriate regulations.   Examples include but are not limited to, promotions, temporary details, resignations, expiration of appointments, etc. 

    • Support case documentation/close out procedures and purposes.

    • Participate in PAR related projects as assigned.



Requirements

What You Need to Bring to the Table

  • Must be a US citizen
  • College degree is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); and experience using automated systems to maintain data quality and data integrity.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; experience managing multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain professionalism when handling sensitive HR information.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and eagerness to learn new processes, systems, and regulations.
  • Ability to apply and interpret Federal HR laws, policies, and agency specific operating procedures.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the government required security check.
