Job Title: HR Assistant-Bilingual

Job Description:

The HR Assistant supports the Human Resources department in all administrative and employee relations tasks, ensuring effective communication and documentation in both English and Spanish. This role is responsible for translating HR documents, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and serving as a point of contact for employees with limited English proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate HR forms, policies, and communications between English and Spanish
  • Assist in recruitment processes, including posting job ads, screening applicants, and scheduling interviews.
  • Act as primary liaison with staffing partners.
  • Support new hire onboarding and orientation in both languages.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Maintain and update employee records with strict confidentiality.
  • Coordinate employee training sessions and track participation.
  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration.
  • Prepare HR reports and assist with compliance audits.
  • Foster a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Prior experience in HR or administrative support.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

Preferred Qualifications/Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience working in an office environment.
  • Willingness to learn and gain knowledge of HR practices through classes, seminars, etc.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based with regular visits to production areas.
  • Regular interaction with employees, management, and external partners.
