HR Assistant

We have part-time opening for a Human Resource Assistant. The schedule would be 20 hours/week. The starting wage for this position is $18/hour.

Position Description 

The Human Resources Assistant assists all departments within The Rescue Mission to implement and carry out human resources programs and functions. The HR Assistant should have the heart of a servant in accordance with Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” 

 Key Tasks and Responsibilities 

• Assist with the employee recruiting and onboarding process. 
• Assist with HR projects, trainings/development initiatives, and administrative duties.
• Provide support to the HR Coordinator and the Sr. Vice President of HR.
• Assist with employee related activities.

Other Duties  

• Attend quarterly All Staff meetings.
• Job performance should demonstrate The Rescue Mission’s Core Values; Organizational Integrity, Organizational Unity and Organizational Effectiveness.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Be prepared to pray with and offer spiritual support to others.

 Education Training and Experience  

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 2 years of previous HR experience in a recruiting capacity.
• Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now, preferred. 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities  

• Advanced computer skills with knowledge of internet, email and Microsoft applications.
• Ability to work with individuals of various socio-economic, ethnic, and racial populations.
• Ability to comply with personal and business requirements and expectations as detailed in the Employee Handbook.
