The HR Assistant's duties involve a wide range of support activities insideour HR department, fromcoordinating meetings to maintaining ouremployee database to posting job ads. An important part of the role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. This role reports directly to the Director of Human Resources, andwill be expected toassist each unit’s Leadership Team (Culinary Directors, General Manager, Executive Chef, and others) onsite.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES |
|
· Embodies the standards of the Restaurant Brand by displaying professionalism in all forms of communication. · Provides clerical and administrative support to Human Resources to ensure continuous development of employee retention and satisfaction. · Compiles and updates employee records (hard and soft copies). · Assist with routine, day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties · Facilitatecommunicationbetween therestaurantleadership team and the Director of HR. · Be the HR point of contact for the Restaurant Brand for routine matters and escalate to Director of HR when necessary. · Process documentation and prepare reports relatingto personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.) · Prepare all required paperwork in an organized and timely manner. · Assist with auditing hours and submitting payroll weekly by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.) · Collaboratewith managers regarding recruiting, onboardingand orientation ofhourly new hires. · Update all online portals to ensure the employee status is current. · Assist Director of HR regarding benefit administration (enrollment, changes and deactivation upon departure from company). · Know, follow and implement all policies and procedures regarding personnel and be available to attend employee coachings to ensure prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, standards and procedures. Inform Director of HR of all progressive discipline issues within Restaurant Brand. · Keep employee information and conversations safe and confidential.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS |
|
· Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience working in role of similar caliber. · Experience working in a restaurant is aplus · High School Diploma, or equivalent level of education, required (Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure) · Excellent verbal and written communicationskills. · Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English. · Bilingual in Spanish a plus · Must possess computerskills (Word, Email, Excel) · Familiarity with applicant tracking systems · Knowledgeable of employment laws · Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the restaurant in a timely basis. · Must be able to multi-task andmanage in high volume, andhigh stress environments. · Must have manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. · Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. Can frequently lift up to 30 pounds, as well as work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours). · Must be able to work onsite. |
