Job Overview
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in HR and gain hands-on experience in HR Shared Services, talent acquisition, and administrative support. The HR Assistant will support key HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
(Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following)
- Collaborate closely with the HR Team on policies, procedures, and initiatives
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases
- Process employment verifications, organizational changes, and status updates
- Support HR audits and compliance-related activities
- Respond to employee inquiries or redirect them to appropriate HR team members
- Assist in all aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding as required
- Draft employment verification letters, HR communications, and other requested documentation on an ad-hoc basis
- Provide administrative support for HR team
Required Skills & Qualifications
- BA/BS in Business, Human Resource Management or related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and customer service approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong MS Office skills including MS Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of HR
- Experience with an HRIS system is a plus (but not required)
Preferred Experience
- Internship or volunteer experience in HR or administrative roles
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
