Job Overview



We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in HR and gain hands-on experience in HR Shared Services, talent acquisition, and administrative support. The HR Assistant will support key HR processes across the employee lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities:

(Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following)

  • Collaborate closely with the HR Team on policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases
  • Process employment verifications, organizational changes, and status updates
  • Support HR audits and compliance-related activities
  • Respond to employee inquiries or redirect them to appropriate HR team members
  • Assist in all aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding as required
  • Draft employment verification letters, HR communications, and other requested documentation on an ad-hoc basis
  • Provide administrative support for HR team

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business, Human Resource Management or related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service approach
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong MS Office skills including MS Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of HR

 

  • Experience with an HRIS system is a plus (but not required)

Preferred Experience

  • Internship or volunteer experience in HR or administrative roles
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
