HR Assistant – Temporary to Hire

Position Summary
The HR Assistant will support daily HR functions such as onboarding, employee record management, compliance tracking, and general administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be organized, service-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with onboarding, orientation, and new hire paperwork
Maintain and update employee records and files
Support benefits enrollment and changes
Track and report time off, attendance, and leaves of absence
Respond to internal employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures
Schedule interviews and assist with recruiting coordination
Prepare HR-related reports and documentation
Ensure compliance with California labor laws and internal policies
Requirements
1–2 years of HR or administrative support experience
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
Experience with HRIS software is a plus
High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required
