Job Description:
We are seeking an HR Coordinator for the Workforce Planning Center of Expertise at Asahi Kasei America. You will be supporting the Collaborative Recruiting and Onboarding processes across Asahi Kasei businesses in North America.
This role requires consulting with hiring managers to understand roles to be filled and profiles of ideal candidates. Reviews and assesses applicants’ education, experience, training, and other qualifications. Verifies employment eligibility, gathers necessary paperwork, and performs reference and background checks. Schedules interviews, coordinates interviewers, schedules and leads feedback meetings. Tests and scores applicants and gather feedback from other interviewers. Informs candidates of job duties, responsibilities, work schedules, compensation and benefits packages, and career advancement opportunities. Prepares and extends job offers. Notifies applicants of rejection. Supports onboarding activities as necessary.

Essential Duties
- Supporting the Collaborative Recruiting, onboarding processes, and primary recruiters across Asahi Kasei businesses
- Leverage various recruiting tools to source candidates (i.e. Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Leverage various marketing tools and strategies to attract talent (i.e. websites, updating Job Postings, visit in person or virtually schools, advertise around the community)
- Remains aware of recruiting and hiring laws
- Understand company’s internal rules and SOPs, coordinate hiring and onboarding items by communicating with various stakeholders.
- HRIS setup and support for new employees
- Support Workforce Planning COE initiatives

- Strong organizational skills

- Strong interpersonal skills required
- Proficient in MS Office
- Proficient typing skills (Ability to type efficiently and accurately)
- Active listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate times
- English language – knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Adaptable and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Associates degree or higher
Preferred Requirements
- HR Generalist experience a plus
- Experience in recruiting preferred
- HR Certifications a plus
- HRIS experience a plus (Workday)
