Description

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator will assist the Human Resources Director with the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including onboarding, offboarding, recruiting assistance, benefits administration, leave of absence and PTO, and enforcing company policies and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the onboarding for new team member, including pre-employment process.
  • Coordinate the offboarding of team members, including offboarding documents and exit interviews.
  • Recruits, interviews, and coordinates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Attending job fairs as needed.
  • Administer updates to the HRIS system and employee personnel files, maintaining accurate records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer human resource programs including but not limited to benefits and leave of absence; performance and talent management; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Lead the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment process, including planning, approvals, execution, and post-enrollment wrap up.
  • Assists the HR Director with employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate person.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least one year of human resources experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. 
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
