Job Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties and employee support related to the Human Resource function. This position will support HR Functional Pillars including Talent Acquisition, Training and Development, Employee Recognition and Engagement, Benefits, Payroll/Timekeeping, etc. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Time and attendance processes ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Assist employees with payroll and benefit questions
  • Assist with recruiting process for hourly positions, including posting positions and screening applicants
  • Facilitate and lead orientation and onboarding activities
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of employee handbook and labor agreement language to serve as a resource to all employees
  • Support training initiatives from creation to implementation
  • Serve as back up for HR Admin Assistant, including reception duties
  • Support employee engagement activities through committee participation and event coordination
  • Provide general clerical and admin support cross-departmentally as related to Human Resources activities

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience.  Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; a combination of education/work experience may be considered.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working in an HRIS. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A demonstrated customer service-orientation.
  • Must be able to prioritize an assigned workload.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Must be available to work extended hours as needed around core business hours of 7:30am-4:30pm.
