Summary: 

NOHN is seeking a dedicated and skilled Human Resources Coordinator to support the Human Resources Department. Building upon their existing knowledge and experience, the HR Coordinator will take on expanded responsibilities in supporting the HR department's daily operations and contributing to the organization's overall success. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a passion for fostering a positive and productive work environment.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

HR Operations Support: 

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining employee records.  

  • Assist hiring managers with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.  

  • Assist HR manager and HR Specialist with new employee onboarding and orientation programs, ensuring a smooth and positive transition for new hires.  

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, ensuring accurate enrollment and timely processing of changes. 

  • Maintain employee data in HR systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. 

Compliance and Reporting: 

  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.  

  • Including HRSA required tracking of credentialing, privileging, and licensure 

  • Monitor and maintain compliance with NPDB, DSHS, SAM/OIG systems for all staff.  

  • Assist with the preparation of HR reports and metrics, providing insights into key HR data and trends. 

  • Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations, ensuring organizational compliance. 

Employee Relations: 

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures.  

  • Assist with the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.  

Special Projects and Initiatives: 

  • Collaborate with the HR team on special projects, such as developing training programs, implementing new HR technologies, and improving HR processes.  

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR services, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or technical school coursework preferred.  

  • Minimum of three years of job-related experience in a human resources department, equivalent/applicable experience considered in a different function 

  • Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.  

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).  

  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legal regulations. 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.  

Additional Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with HRIS systems. 

  • Knowledge of employee benefits administration. 

  • Familiarity with talent management and development practices.
