Industrial Inspection & Analysis is looking for a detailed, motivated HR Coordinator. This position is a hybrid remote position located in Minnetonka, MN. 


Position Summary: 

 

The Human Resources Coordinator provides assistance with the HR processes at all business locations.  This role administers employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers.  This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations.  The Human Resource Coordinator makes sure that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed.  In addition, this role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including recruiting, onboarding, record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.  Through strong service skills and attention to detail, this position will focus on both daily HR activities and strategic improvement initiatives that directly move the company toward meeting established values and goals.

 

Essential Functions: 

 

  1. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and assists with tasks to keep policies, procedures, and reporting in compliance.
  2. Administers benefits programs including enrollments, changes and terminations.  Collaborates with payroll and insurance providers to process necessary documents and ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
  3. Reconciles benefits statements as needed.
  4. Maintains personnel related documentation within HRIS in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  5. Works closely with management team to perform recruitment activities including scheduling interviews and evaluating candidates for select positions.  
  6. Provide guidance and answers to employee requests regarding payroll, benefits, and HR.
  7. Administer on-boarding programs.
  8. Assist with processing terminations.
  9. Provide past and present verification of employment for various reasons that include unemployment and work-related and loan-related verifications. 
  10. Provide information to newly-eligible employees for benefits programs including health insurance, HSA, life insurance, dental, and 401(k).
  11. Assist with coordinating annual employee benefits bidding process and open enrollment.
  12. Prepare data for 401(k) 5500 filing.
  13. Serve as credible and service-oriented HR business partner.
  14. Assists in recruiting when needed. 

 

Education, Experience, and Competencies Required:

  1. Bachelors or Associates in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. 1-2 years of prior HR Administrative experience
  3. Understanding of all HR functions including recruiting, hiring, retention, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and culture development.
  4. Highly informed on HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  5. Experience working in a manufacturing or field services environment a plus.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  7. Capable of interpreting and understanding legal documents, payroll procedures, and federal and state regulations.
  8. Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills.  
  9. Results-oriented with proven ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  10. Solid reputation for building excellent relationships with internal and external customers.
  11. Highly committed, flexible, and resilient at overcoming obstacles and creating solutions to complex challenges. 
  12. Proficient at using Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  13. Strong ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time. 
  14. Must demonstrate initiative, accuracy and professionalism in producing high quality work.
