Job Description:

Adolfson and Peterson Construction is currently hiring an HR Coordinator in the Fargo/Harwood area. This individual will be working at a large construction project site.

This role supports the full team member lifecycle by leading onboarding and offboarding, maintaining accurate HRIS data, ensuring compliance, and providing responsive HR support. It strengthens AP’s IIF culture while delivering consistent, confidential, and high‑quality HR operations and reporting

Primary Accountabilities

  • Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
  • Responsible for the successful onboarding of new team members.
    • Assist with the development and implementation of a successful onboarding experience for new hires. Serve as the main point of contact for new hires, working collaboratively with hiring managers to create successful new hire transition experiences.
  • Administer an effective offboarding process.
    • Partner with the HRBP to coordinate and administer the team member offboarding process for voluntary and involuntary separations, ensuring consistent and compliant experience
    • Ensure all team members voluntarily exiting the company are invited to complete an exit survey.
    • Schedule and conduct exit interviews
    • Develop report of survey data feedback and communicate with the appropriate leadership.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on AP’s HRIS functionality; maximize and maintain HRIS functionality to capture accurate, timely team member information:
    • Ensure that team member database accurately captures, stores, and drives current and comprehensive team member indicative data and eligibility.
    • Responsible for updating team member data as requested.
    • Continually look for ways to improve and automate HR tools and systems and provide recommendation for future enhancements.
    • Develop and distribute a variety of analyses and reports including headcount, turnover, etc.
  • Respond to team member inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures including questions related to per diem, trip-home reimbursement and relocations.
  • Maintain and apply in-depth knowledge of compliance requirements related to Human Resources.
  • Maintain a high level of security and confidentiality in all matters related to team member data, especially when dealing with sensitive team member issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • History of experience and proven results including:
    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and 2+ years of related industry experience. Experience and familiarity with the A/E/C industry preferred.
    • SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP preferred
    • Foundational knowledge of HR processes, data, and annual business cycles
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Payroll and HRIS Systems
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Developed skills (written, oral, and listening) to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated proactive problem solver, able to work independently, self-starter
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Estimated Pay:

$61,500.00 - $91,500.00
