Rose Cartage Service is a 50-year-old family-owned trucking company based in Griffith, IN, and we’re looking for an HR Coordinator / Administrative Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being the backbone of a strong team.

As our HR Coordinator/Administrative Assistant, you will report directly to the President and play a key role in supporting our drivers, maintaining compliance, and ensuring the administrative systems supporting our fleet run smoothly and efficiently.

Primary duties of the HR Coordinator / Administrative Assistant:
  • Welcoming new drivers to the company and onboarding them into all company programs
  • Overseeing employee benefit programs
  • Enforcing compliance with all drivers' DOT annual requirements
  • Managing all insurance claims
  • Completing all licensing and titling of trucks and trailers
  • Maintaining our Trucking Authority
  • Assist in generating Fuel Tax Reporting

Requirements for the HR Coordinator / Administrative Assistant:
  • Alignment with our company values
  • Ability to communicate well with others both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to take direction from leaders
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills and able to properly prioritize tasks
  • Able to exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive issues
  • 1 Year of previous knowledge of the transportation industry preferred but not required
  • Microsoft Excel experience preferred but not required
