Sunshine Quality Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Coordinator to support our team in maintaining compliance with company policies and employment regulations. In this role, you’ll assist in ensuring adherence to all State/Province and Federal employment laws, manage confidential documentation, and help uphold our commitment to a fair and professional workplace. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update employee files, both physical and digital, while ensuring both accuracy and confidentiality are always maintained
  • Assist in posting job ads, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and coordinating the onboarding process for new hires
  • Conducts training sessions during new employee orientation to support a smooth and informed transition into the company
  • Provides support in administering employee benefits
  • Assists in the administration of employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs and wellness activities
  • Helps ensure the organization complies with all relevant labor laws and company policies
  • Acts as a point of contact for employees and management, answering questions and addressing HR-related inquiries
  • Supports the HR department in rolling out programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall employee experience
  • Identifies opportunities to improve HR policies and procedures for increased efficiency and compliance
  • Participates in career fairs and other recruitment events to promote the company and attract top talent
  • Administers Worker’s Compensation processes
  • Administers employee leave programs, including FMLA and Short-Term Disability (STD), ensuring compliance and timely communication
  • Manage HR documentation, including I-9’s & E-Verify, assist with payroll and performance management processes, and help prepare HR reports

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 1+ years’ experience providing HR support
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • General knowledge of employment laws, policies, and regulations
  • Ability to use database software and human resources computer application systems
  • Understanding of confidentiality policies and other regulatory policies
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • People focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion

Preferred:

  • Associates Degree in Human Resources preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while working at a desk or computer.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies, or equipment).
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including typing and data entry.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer work and handling paperwork.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, or reach for filing and organizing materials.
