The Hollywood Roosevelt-Human Resources Coordinator
The Human Resources Coordinator is an integral part of the Human Resources team at The Roosevelt. In this role, you will provide day-to-day support to the Human Resources Office while partnering closely with hotel leadership, including team leaders and supervisors. You will play a key role across several functional areas of human resources, including recruitment and employment, compensation, employee relations, benefits administration, health and safety initiatives, wellness programs, team member services, and special projects that support our people and culture.
What You Will Do
As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will manage and coordinate the full recruitment and hiring process, ensuring an efficient and positive experience for candidates and hiring leaders alike. You will facilitate onboarding and conduct new hire orientation, helping new team members feel welcomed and set up for success from day one. You will serve as a vital link between management and employees by responding to questions, providing guidance, and assisting with employee relations matters. In addition, you will oversee employee benefits programs, responding to inquiries and resolving benefit-related issues, while maintaining accurate team member records within the HRIS system. You will also assist the Payroll Manager by providing payroll support, including processing assistance, data entry, and resolving payroll-related inquiries. Additionally, you will support the Director of Human Resources with projects such as documenting HR policies and procedures, developing orientation programs, preparing turnover reports, and contributing to other initiatives that strengthen our HR operations. You may also be asked to provide support in other HR or administrative areas as needed.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a detail-oriented and service-driven HR professional with a solid foundation in human resources administration, particularly in recruitment. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You should be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, comfortable working in a Windows environment, and eager to learn and utilize HRIS systems. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build trust and work collaboratively with employees at all levels. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
