Salary Range: $56,625 - $69,366 - $82,107

Summary of Responsibilities:  

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for general HR department operations and activities associated with recruiting, on-boarding, exit interviews, Family Medical Leave of Absence (FMLA), Short Term Disability and HRIS functions. The HR Coordinator is expected to demonstrate commitment to providing first-class customer service, characterized by a positive attitude, respect for all people, and timely and accurate responses. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Provide administrative and clerical support for HRand Payroll functions, including running reports, scheduling meetings,preparing,assembling materials, andmaintainingthe HR email,calendarand voicemail accounts.
  • Maintain HR-related SharePoint and Teams sites.
  • Post open positions to internal and external job boards, screen resumes, schedule interviews, send interview regrets, and conduct HR interviews in conjunction with the HR Manager.
  • Perform background, education, and certification verifications.
  • Provide new hire orientation support for newemployees. 
  • Serve as a resource for employees and act as a liaison with the benefit providers when issues arise.
  • Notify employees of FMLA and Short-Term Disability (STD) benefits. Prepare and send FMLA letters, track FMLA and STD leave, and follow up with employees as needed.
  • Perform various administration functions within HR and time and attendance modules of the HRIS.
  • Assist with the preparation and monitoring of the performance review process
  • Plans and facilitates Charitable and Office Committee events for SERS. 
  • Serve as Co-chair of the SERS wellness committee and plans and facilitates Employee Wellness activities 
  • Conducts purchasing activities for Administrative Services department and reconciles HR credit card activities.
  • Perform various Policy Manager administrative duties, including maintenance of Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Order and maintain office supplies.
  • Perform employee exit interviews.
  • Serve as backup to the HR Manager.  
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and security of all Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) data by strictly adhering to federal and state laws, regulations, polices, and best practices for data protection and access control.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 Educations and Skills/Qualifications: 

    • Associate’s degree(A.A.) inhuman resource management, business, or related field; with;
    • Two to four years' experience in Human Resources or related field; 
    • Meticulous organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills. 
    • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across organization.
    • Self-starter with the ability to anticipate needs and take action accordingly.
    • Efficient time management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs and priorities. 
    • Advanced problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to use computers effectively and efficiently and proficient in Microsoft Office 365. 
    • Equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
