What You Will Be Doing:
The Human Resources Coordinator will support, organize, and assist with human resource department transactional processes. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including HRIS entry, record-keeping, and file maintenance. Employee engagement is a high priority.
HR Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Director of People Services providing vital source of general human resources information for our employees.
- Conducts administrative onboarding of new hires.
- Abides by company HR processes and current employment laws and regulations.
- Conducts or acquires all employment work certifications based on roles.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files.
- Organizes, maintains, and updates employee personnel files.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs.
- Answers general benefits questions
- Responsible for all recruitment aspects for job postings, and screening candidates, scheduling interviews.
- Attends recruitment job fairs; prepares material for events ensuring that company is representative as an attractive employer
- Triages calls and emails from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director or appropriate staff.
- Responsible for coordinating meetings, recruitment event planning, and specific programs i.e., rewards and recognition
- Assist with all community projects initiated by the department or complex
- Assist the Director of HR in coordinating training sessions, planning and tracking.
- Works with management and team members to communicate, develop, and support processes.
- Assist the Director of HR by running reports, submitting documents to United Services as needed
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, hospitality, and guest service at all times.
- Resolve requests and complaints in cooperation with appropriate departments
- Maintains general knowledge of trends, best practices, employment laws, and HR related technologies.
- Supports any other special projects that arise based on organizational need.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment
- Must be engaging, delightful and professional with team members at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned.
HR Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources or related experience.
- Experience with employment laws preferred
- ADP Workforce Now experience helpful but not required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and related business and communication tools required
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions accurately and without hesitation
- Thorough attention to details
- Ability to be a clear thinker in pressure situations and exercise good judgment.
- Remain calm and courteous in demanding and difficult customer situations.
- Ability to handle obstacles in a positive and professional manner and to effectively communicate these problems
- Professional integrity and sense of responsibility and accountability
- Reliable and personable; enjoy working with a diverse range of individuals and ensuring employee requirements and needs are met first
Education/Certifications/Licensure/Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous guest relations training.
- Experience in hospitality industry in similar position, preferred.
