Job Description:
This role will facilitate the recruitment process.
Examples of Duties:
- Involved in department's interview process with by screening applications, assisting with initial interviews and reviewing selection documentation from hiring supervisors.
- Assists hiring departments by advising staff and applicants of position qualifications, requirements, and recruitment procedures.
- Develop, track, and report on facets of the recruiting and hiring process so that the processes are transparent and measurable.
- Assist in succession planning and workforce planning for city departments.
- Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager with facilitating the requisition, job posting, and offer process.
- Documents appropriate actions in the applicant tracking system.
- Actively participates in recruitment campaigns, job fairs, college relations programs, and other community events to ensure robust candidate pipeline.
- Develops creative and strategic recruitment plans using social media campaigns, advanced internet techniques, and networking with internal and external resources.
- Create an engaging candidate experience that contributes to our brand as an employer of choice.
- Performs work in a variety of areas, including employee recruitment, selection, classification and compensation, benefits and training.
- Participate in routine meetings with departments to review vacancies, recruitment metrics, and staffing plan.
- Creates scheduled and ad-hoc basic reports and pulls relevant data as needed using the HRIS system.
- Calculates relevant experience of candidates to aid in salary setting process.
- Assists in the creation of job descriptions, including formatting, finding internal and external salary benchmarks, and making minor changes/edits when necessary.
- Creates new positions in the HRIS system.
- Provide support to other HR teams during on a project basis, assisting the Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations and Wellness teams as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires Bachelor's degree, degree preferably in Public Administration, Business Management or Human Resources Management; with one (1) years of professional level human resources experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
- Knowledge of Workday HRIS system preferred.
