ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Welcome new hires and lead onboarding sessions that introduce company culture, policies, and key processes 

  • Act as a primary liaison to answer frequently asked HR-related questions from associates relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. and escalate the more complex questions to appropriate next level of support. 

  • Manage workflow mailboxes, handle associate requests, and respond to general internal and external requests for information and materials to ensure smooth communication and timely resolution to inquiries. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation to support our associates while always ensuring integrity and confidentiality.  

  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately as well as make corrections when appropriate.  

  • Produce benchmarking data, scorecards, charts, and other HR program reporting to include audits and recommendations for improvements.  

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date strategic plan manual with continuity of BUS plans and goals for your position.  

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other generalists and departments to ensure that company goals are met. 

  • Oversee, verify, and process professional development requests.  

  • Responsible for receiving  and processing Worker’s Compensation claims. 

  • Crosstrain and serve as a BUS plan for other similar roles within the HR Department.   

  • Provide support to associates in various HR-related topics such as the next steps, responsibilities, and resolution of issues that may arise. 

  • Generate reports, conduct analysis, and provide quarterly metrics about associate experiences as part of Onboarding. 

  • Partner with subject matter experts to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to recommend best practices and processes. 

  • Assist with and sometimes take lead on administering leave of absence programs including FMLA, short-term, and worker’s compensation while ensuring all documentation is completed within federal guidelines. 

  • Review and process all Lateral Position Changes, Promotions, and Demotions PAFs (Personnel Action Forms) in Paycom. 

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. 

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in HR or related field preferred. 

  • 2+ years of related experience required. 

  • Strong Microsoft Office, Internet, and email skills required. 

  • Knowledge of HRIS systems preferred. 

  • Human resources industry certification preferred.
