Position Summary:

Administer and support the human resources programs in functions such as payroll, onboarding, wellness, employee relations, training, performance management, policy management, recruitment, benefits administration, and related areas.  Provide information for program improvements/changes, compliance, administration, and employee communication.

Essential Functions:

It is essential for all employees to adhere to Company policies.

  • Administer human resources programs to achieve objectives for the business. 
  • Assis in the creation and implementation of Human Resource policies and procedures in assigned area of specialty to meet objectives for the human resources department. 
  • Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now.  Administer benefits. 
  • Assist in creating and implementing corporate Wellness strategies and programs.
  • Assist in maintaining employee policies and procedures.  Effectively communicate changes to all employees, both formally and informally.
  • Maintain knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws and regulations in order to ensure Company compliance.  Stay current on HR trends.
  • Form and maintain positive relationships will all employees through role model behavior, communication and execution of job duties.
  • Assist in identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives in HR department, including Wellness, Training, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, etc.
  • Assist in planning and execution of employee recognition and communication events and meetings.
  • Maintain files, both electronically and paper, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality at all times.

Additional Functions:

  • May assist or lead company-wide teams for special initiatives or corporate events. 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business preferred.
  2. PHR preferred.
  3. Possess strong computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  4. Excellent skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork.
  5. Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  6. Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation, integrity and initiative.
  7. Effectively problem solve, prioritize, and follow through on assignments and projects.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently sits; talks and hears; uses hands to finger, handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee occasionally stands and walks; climbs; twists, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.

The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 5 pounds, and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 55 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Working Conditions/Physical Hazards:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment, and is occasionally exposed to production environment. Work area is well lit and air conditioned.

All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.
