Who We Are Looking For:

The HR Generalist will play a vital role in facilitating all aspects of human resources. The HR Generalist will address all human resource matters, while actively collaborating with department managers from recruitment to performance reviews, wage reviews, disciplinary action, and learning and development. To perform well in this role you should have relevant experience as an HR Generalist.  The position will be in-person at our Twinsburg, OH facility, but will also support our Tempe, AZ facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Facilitate the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
    • Develop and implement effective onboarding processes to ensure new employees are welcomed and integrated into the company culture.
  • Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs within the organization and develop training programs to address them.
    • Facilitate training sessions and workshops on topics such as leadership development, work force skill development, and/or safety.
    • Generate and maintain job descriptions for all positions.
  • Payroll/Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
    • Administer bi-weekly payroll process in Paycom.
    • Serve as the liaison between employees and benefits providers to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Serve as the key contact in support of department managers for issues including: employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, and/or disciplinary actions.
    • Conduct investigations into employee concerns and recommend appropriate courses of action.
  • HR Policies and Compliance:
    • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
    • Stay up-to-date on employment laws and regulations and ensure company compliance.
  • Performance Management:
    • Quarterback the performance appraisal process, providing guidance to managers and employees as needed.
    • Develop and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
    • Research and draft a wage scale system.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting:
    • Collect and analyze HR data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Develop and maintain HR metrics such as turnover, retention, safety incidents, and employee engagement.
  • Employee Engagement and Wellness:
    • Develop initiatives to promote employee engagement and morale, such as team-building activities and recognition programs.
    • Support employee wellness initiatives to ensure a healthy and productive workforce.

Qualifications

What We are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in human resources or related field.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience in educating and coaching staff.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace investigations.
  • Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy.
  • Ability to give presentations.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
