Make a real impact. Grow your HR career. Help shape the employee experience.
We’re looking for a people-focused, organized, and driven HR Generalist to help support our Illinois manufacturing plants. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants variety in their work, ownership in their role, and the chance to help build strong teams. If you enjoy fast-paced recruiting, solving problems, and supporting employees and leaders, this could be the perfect next step in your HR career.
You’ll be a key member of the HR team, helping keep our plants running smoothly by managing recruiting, supporting employee relations, and maintaining strong HR operations.
Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly, skilled trades, and entry-level salaried positions for two plants.
Build pipelines of talent and create a great candidate experience.
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities.
Coordinate background checks, pre-employment screens, and onboarding tasks.
Deliver engaging new hire orientations and help new employees feel welcome from Day 1.
Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and documentation (I-9/E-Verify, personnel files, etc.).
Support benefits administration during onboarding and open enrollment.
Assist with employee changes, reports, and general HR processes.
Help keep HR workflows organized, compliant, and efficient.
Document employee concerns and assist in routine investigations.
Work with supervisors on consistent policy application and corrective action documentation.
Support a positive workplace culture through strong communication and follow-through.
Serve as a helpful resource for employees across both facilities.
We believe in supporting our employees so they can do their best work. In this role, you’ll enjoy:
✨ A high-impact position where your work directly influences staffing, culture, and operations.
✨ Variety in your day — recruiting, projects, employee support, HR admin, and plant-wide initiatives.
✨ Autonomy and ownership with room to bring ideas, improve processes, and build relationships.
✨ Growth opportunities, including professional development and mentorship from experienced HR leaders.
✨ A supportive team environment that values collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.
2–4+ years of HR or recruiting experience (manufacturing preferred).
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
Confidence in supporting supervisors and navigating employee issues professionally.
A natural relationship-builder with strong communication skills.
Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred, as it helps support many of our employees.
HRIS experience and comfort with Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
You’ll get to own recruiting and have a real say in improving hiring processes.
You’ll gain valuable HR experience supporting two plant locations.
You’ll work in an environment that appreciates fresh ideas and continuous improvement.
You’ll play a meaningful role in supporting employees and making their experience better.
