Human Resources Generalist
On-site Location: Brewster, NY
Pay: $55,000 - $75,000 / year

 

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR matters
  • Lead employee relations investigations and support conflict resolution
  • Administer FMLA, leave of absence, Workers’ Compensation, and unemployment documentation
  • Manage time and attendance processes in Paycom, including PTO, punch edits, and manager training
  • Maintain confidential employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws
  • Support payroll accuracy through timecard review and weekly manager reminders
  • Monitor and respond to HR inbox and employee documentation in a timely manner
  • Provide bilingual (Spanish) support to employees as needed

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Paycom preferred) and Microsoft Office
  • Experience administering FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and unemployment claims
  • Excellent communication, investigation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
