Human Resources Generalist
On-site Location: Brewster, NY
Pay: $55,000 - $75,000 / year
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR matters
- Lead employee relations investigations and support conflict resolution
- Administer FMLA, leave of absence, Workers’ Compensation, and unemployment documentation
- Manage time and attendance processes in Paycom, including PTO, punch edits, and manager training
- Maintain confidential employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws
- Support payroll accuracy through timecard review and weekly manager reminders
- Monitor and respond to HR inbox and employee documentation in a timely manner
- Provide bilingual (Spanish) support to employees as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS systems (Paycom preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Experience administering FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and unemployment claims
- Excellent communication, investigation, and conflict resolution skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities independently
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
