Position Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive HR Generalist to support a wide range of human resources functions across our growing healthcare organization. This role plays a key part in recruitment, employee relations, leave administration, compliance, onboarding, HR operations, and employee engagement initiatives.

The HR Generalist partners closely with managers and employees to provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, ensure compliance with employment laws and healthcare regulations, and foster a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

  • Support full-cycle recruitment for clinical and non-clinical positions, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and maintain efficient hiring processes.
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience through professional communication and timely follow-up.

Employee Relations & HR Support

  • Provide day-to-day HR guidance regarding workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and employee relations matters.
  • Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and performance-related issues while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Promote a positive and respectful work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.

Leave Administration & Compliance

  • Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, healthcare regulations, and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, licensure tracking, and compliance documentation.

Performance Management & Employee Development

  • Coordinate performance review processes, documentation, and follow-up activities.
  • Support onboarding, training coordination, and employee development initiatives.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and retention programs.

HR Operations & Systems

  • Maintain HRIS and applicant tracking systems to ensure accurate employee data and reporting.
  • Prepare HR reports and assist with job descriptions, policies, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support HR operational workflows and administrative processes across the organization.

Culture & Organizational Engagement

  • Coordinate employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Serve as an approachable and visible HR resource for employees and leadership.
  • Assist with additional HR-related projects and organizational priorities as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience with recruiting, employee relations, leave administration, and HR compliance.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Healthcare, physician practice management, ambulatory care, or multi-site HR experience.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and applicant tracking systems.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or Talent Acquisition certification.
  • Experience leveraging HR metrics, reporting, and workforce analytics.
