Summary of Responsibilities:
The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting day to day Human Resources operations across recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee engagement, recordkeeping, and offboarding. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. The HR Generalist will partner closely with employees, managers, and external vendors to ensure a consistent and positive employee experience.
Essential Job Functions:
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Review resumes and assist in identifying qualified candidates.
- Coordinate interviews across multiple teams and calendars.
- Conduct candidate phone screens and support assessments as needed.
- Manage candidate communication and ensure a smooth hiring experience.
- Support all aspects of onboarding, including document collection, system setup, and new hire preparation.
- Provide general support to recruiting initiatives and process improvements.
Employee Engagement & HR Programs
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities and initiatives.
- Support administration of annual and quarterly training programs (e.g., harassment prevention, job specific training).
- Help coordinate new hire and annual performance review processes.
Employee Records & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and up to date personnel files in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Assist with compliance activities, including labor law poster audits and updates.
- Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of employee information.
Offboarding
- Prepare termination and offboarding paperwork.
- Support exit processes, document collection, and system access updates.
HR Operations & Administration
- Assist with invoice processing for HR related vendors and services.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist or recruiting focused role.
- Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with HRIS or applicant tracking systems (Paycom experience a plus).
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and excellent common sense.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
