Description

Job Summary:

The HR Generalist will play a critical role in developing and enhancing HR processes as we scale to align with a fast-paced, high-growth organization. This role will assist the Director of Human Resources in building a strong HR foundation. The HR Generalist will focus on developing HR processes and workflows, executing HR initiatives, refining policies, and providing comprehensive HR support across the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • HR Operations & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain proper documentation.
    • Maintain and update employee records, HR systems, and related databases, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
    • Assist in developing, implementing, and refining HR policies, processes, and procedures to support company growth.
    • Partner with leadership to support HR-related initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement
    • Act as a trusted HR resource, addressing employee concerns, mediating disputes, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
    • Conduct New Hire Orientation and guide new hires through the onboarding process, ensuring they understand company policies and procedures.
    • Administer new hire 90-day surveys, stay interviews, exit interviews, and employee surveys to gather insights and drive improvements.
    • Support employee engagement initiatives, including culture-building programs and retention strategies
  • Compensation & Benefits Administration
    • Manage payroll, benefits enrollment, and leave administration.
    • Ensure employees are well-informed about benefits, wellness programs, and HR offerings.
    • Assist with compensation benchmarking, salary structure analysis, and benefits enhancements.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Proficient experience with HRIS systems and HR analytics (experience with Paycom is a plus).
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of HR experience – required
  • 3+ years of HR experience in a fast-paced, growing company – preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field – preferred

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • This is an in-office position requiring regular working hours at ECS headquarters.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as necessary.
