HR Professional

The HR Generalist facilitates and administers core human resource processes across all business locations, ensuring full compliance with federal and Texas employment regulations. Partnering closely with the HR Director, this role supports the development and execution of key HR initiatives, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance monitoring, compliance, and HRIS data integrity. The HR Generalist serves as a trusted resource for employees and leadership, promoting ethical practices and organizational effectiveness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Support the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate tracking, interviews, and background checks
  • Manage I‑9 verification and employment eligibility documentation
  • Coordinate and lead new‑hire orientation and onboarding processes

Benefits & Payroll Support

  • Administer benefit plans, including enrollments, employee changes, and terminations
  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and statements
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate deductions, contributions, and employee records

TWC & Unemployment Management

  • Manage the full lifecycle of unemployment insurance claims
  • Respond to Notices of Application for Unemployment Benefits
  • Gather and submit documentation related to employee separations
  • Represent the organization in Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Appeal Tribunal hearings

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a liaison between employees and management
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, disciplinary actions, corrective measures, and performance evaluations
  • Support supervisors in addressing workplace concerns and maintaining compliance

Compliance & Recordkeeping

  • Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files, medical records, and HR documentation
  • Support EEO/AA reporting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with the Texas Unemployment Compensation Act and Texas Payday Law, including responses to wage claims
  • Assist with audits, investigations, and compliance reporting as needed

Data & Analytics

  • Generate, analyze, and report HR metrics including turnover, staffing levels, benefit costs, and workforce trends
  • Use data insights to recommend process improvements and enhance operational efficiency

Administrative Support

  • Manage HR calendars and schedule meetings
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties to support the HR Director and broader organizational objectives

Professional Development

  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth by participating in HR education, training, and certification programs

  • Maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct and confidentiality
  • Adhere to the Company’s Confidential Information, Noncompetition, and Arbitration Agreement as acknowledged at hire and as revised
  • Follow all applicable company policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
