Position Summary
OpenTech is seeking a highly motivated HR Generalist to support all functional areas of Human Resources in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This position is fully on-site in Phoenix, AZ, and plays a critical role in recruiting, payroll administration, employee relations, and HR operations.
The ideal candidate is an experienced recruiter with strong knowledge of payroll systems (highly preferred experience with Paycom), exceptional standards of confidentiality, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. This individual must be a fast learner, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment
- Coordinate onboarding and new hire documentation
- Maintain recruitment metrics and reporting
- Assist with payroll processing (Paycom experience highly preferred)
- Maintain employee data within HRIS and ensure accurate, confidential record-keeping
- Generate HR and compliance reports
- Assist with internal and external HR-related matters
- Support policy development, handbook updates, and HR projects
- Stay current with labor laws and HR best practices
- Respond to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Support company-wide communications and special events
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of progressive HR experience
- Strong full-cycle recruiting experience required
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Experience assisting with payroll processing
- Experience with Paycom is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of labor law and employment regulations
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability
- Proficient in MS Office and HR systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related field preferred
