We are currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our growing team and support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role involves managing various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and training initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting—job postings, sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, and coordinating hiring processes.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job roles, hiring criteria, and salary recommendations.
  • Oversee new hire onboarding, ensuring a seamless process from offer acceptance to first-day orientation.
  • Utilize HR systems (UKG Ready) to track hiring, update records, and manage employee documentation.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and policy guidance.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture by addressing employee issues, supporting conflict resolution, and assisting with disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Conduct engagement check-ins and ensure employees feel supported in their roles.

Compliance

  • Assist employees with PTO administration and leave requests.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company HR policies (EEO, ADA, FLSA, etc.).
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports (EEO-1, Bureau of Labor Statistics, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate HR records and employee files per company policy.

HR Systems, Reporting & Data Management

  • Manage HR data in UKG Ready, ensuring accuracy in employee records, payroll information, and timekeeping.
  • Generate quarterly hiring, turnover, and compliance reports for leadership review.
  • Support the implementation of automated HR processes to improve efficiency.

Training & Development

  • Assist in coordinating leadership training, skill-based workshops, and employee development programs.
  • Work with managers to develop career progression plans for employees.
  • Track training attendance and effectiveness through feedback and performance evaluations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 2-5 years in an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HR principles, best practices, and employment law.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency with HRIS systems (UKG Ready preferred).
    • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
    • Experience in the construction or skilled trades industry is a plus.
