Description

SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Act as primary liaison to answer frequently asked HR-related questions from associates relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. and escalates the more complex questions to appropriate next level of support.
  • Manage workflow mailboxes, handle associate requests, and respond to general internal and external requests for information and materials to ensure smooth communication and timely resolution to inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation to support our associates while ensuring integrity and confidentiality at all times.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately as well as make corrections when appropriate.
  • Produce benchmarking data, scorecards, charts, and other program reporting to include audits and recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepares and maintains the continuity of job descriptions which can include making updates when appropriate.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date strategic planning manual with continuity BUS plan and goals for your position.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure that company goals are met.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding strategic planning manual.
  • Oversee, verify, and process professionalism development requests.
  • Cross train and serve as BUS plan for other similar roles within the HR Department.
  • Serve as a backup for BDCS/HR Assistant when appropriate.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

TRAINING EXPECTATIONS:

Associates in this role are expected, as a condition of employment, to complete all training assigned within a reasonable time period, generally within less than 15 days.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY: 

This is not a supervisory position. This position does not have the authority to hire, fire, discipline, discharge, assign overtime, and/or direct and assign work, or the ability to effectively recommend any of these actions. This role also serves as a coach and mentor for other employees.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is NOT a hybrid, telecommute or remote role. This role is 100% in-office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

TRAVEL:

This position rarely requires travel.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a major in HR or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Internet, and email skills
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems
  • Human resources industry certification preferred.
