HR Generalist

Location: Chicago, IL 60629

Employment Type: Full-Time 

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually + opportunity for annual performance-based bonuses

Are you passionate about helping people and improving workplace culture? Spotless Cleaning Chicago is looking for an energetic and proactive HR Generalist to join our team! This role is integral to supporting our growing company by fostering a positive work environment while ensuring compliance with HR best practices.

What You’ll Do 

As our HR Generalist, you’ll be responsible for:

• Manage employee relations and address workplace concerns to maintain a positive and productive environment. 
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies. 
• Handle benefits administration, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims. 
• Develop and implement HR initiatives that align with company goals. 
• Facilitate training and development programs to foster employee growth. 
• Maintain accurate employee records, including managing retirement plans and benefits administration. 
• Provide strong guidance to management on HR-related matters to drive operational success. 
• You will collaborate closely with the HR team to support and execute initiatives that enhance employee experience, streamline processes, and align with organizational goals.

You'll play a hands-on role in creating workflows and establishing stronger company policies to support our core values.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field or proven HR Generalist experience, ideally supporting blue-collar roles. 
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) to effectively communicate with our Spanish-speaking team. 
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices. 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with various team members. 
• Integrity and discretion when handling sensitive company information. 
• Proficiency with HR software and tools like the Microsoft Office Suite. 
• A problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently with initiative.
