Reviews, tracks, and ensures accuracy of employee timecards and attendance records; follows up on discrepancies and collaborates with supervisors on necessary corrections.
Processes timecard revisions, including missed punches, pay adjustments, and leave corrections, in alignment with policy and applicable labor agreements.
Supports payroll pre-processing activities, ensuring all timekeeping data is complete and accurate ahead of submission deadlines.
Responds to employee inquiries regarding pay, time off balances, and earnings statements; investigates and resolves payroll-related issues in a timely manner.
Assists with the administration of pay practices including shift differentials, premiums, and overtime in compliance with company policy and union contracts.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Fosters a team-centered environment through positive communication and willingness to receive feedback.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.
May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Education and Experience:
At least one year of human resource generalist experience required.
