HR Generalist (Employee Relations Focused)

Location: West Chester, PA (onsite)

 

Position Overview

A leading provider of power distribution and control systems is seeking a HR Generalist with strong expertise in employee relations and workplace investigations. This position plays a critical role in cultivating a compliant, respectful, and high-performance culture across manufacturing operations. You’ll act as a strategic HR partner to plant leadership while supporting core HR functions including onboarding, leave administration, policy enforcement, and employee development.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct and document thorough, objective workplace investigations and employee relations casework
  • Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on disciplinary action, coaching, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and adherence to federal and state labor laws
  • Administer and track leaves of absence, including FMLA and ADA cases
  • Lead HR processes for onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a smooth employee experience
  • Support performance management efforts including annual reviews and progressive discipline
  • Coach and assist plant leaders with employee engagement, training, and development initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records in HRIS (Paylocity preferred) and ensure data integrity
  • Assist with HR compliance audits, policy updates, and recognition programs
 

What You’ll Need

  • 4+ years of HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations and investigations
  • Prior HR experience within a manufacturing environment is required
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with sound judgment and professionalism
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% to support other plant locations as needed
