Description

Swickard Auto Group is looking for a proactive and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic HR team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the daily HR functions across a growing network of dealerships. As a Human Resources Generalist at Swickard Auto Group, you’ll work hands-on with employees and managers to manage the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to training, benefits, and compliance. Your experience with HRIS platforms—especially Paylocity—will be invaluable in ensuring data integrity and driving HR efficiencies across our organization.


Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive, productive work culture across all locations.
  • Provide employee relations support to the HR Assistant Manager.
  • Support internal communications, employee relations, and engagement efforts.
  • Drive HR process improvements and training initiatives.
  • Analyze HR data and generate reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist with accommodations, leaves of absence, and other HR initiatives.
  • Collaborate with managers on employee performance, development programs, and policy implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with benefits administration, leave management, and Paylocity-related inquiries.
  • Support time and attendance tracking and payroll reporting.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and training coordination.
  • Support recruiting and hiring efforts, including job postings, interviews, and background checks.
  • Coordinate recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Provide technical and functional support for Paylocity users.
  • Administer and manage employee data and HR processes through Paylocity.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Promote a positive, productive work culture across locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of HR experience; automotive industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Paylocity HRIS or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Frequent communication via phone, email, and meetings.
  • Ability to travel between dealership locations if necessary.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Navigating standard office and dealership environments.
