Title: Human Resources Generalist
Reports to: Director of Operations & Finance
Status: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 to $95,000
Basic Function / Position Objective:
The Human Resources Generalist manages the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and hiring to training, compensation, and employee relations, ensuring the organization complies with labor laws and leads the effort to maintain a positive work environment. As the HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in fostering and sustaining a positive and inclusive organizational culture. It will involve designing and executing initiatives that enhance employee engagement, encourage collaboration, and ensure alignment with the organization's core values.
Work Environment:
Currently, the work environment for the HR Generalist position is hybrid, but with a strong emphasis on in-office presence. The role requires working in the organization's Harlem office, Monday-Thursday. Fridays offer the flexibility to work remotely unless in-office attendance is specifically required. This significant in-office requirement is considered an essential function of the role, which necessitates regular in-person collaboration with team members.

Required Education, Experience, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Five years’ experience in Human Resources or Operations position(s), including experience with payroll and benefits. SHRM-CP or PHR designation preferred.
