HR Generalist
At Future Bars Group we are designers, operators and hospitalitarians, bringing the highest level of commitment, expertise and passion to the beverage business. As the HR Generalist you will perform administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the human resource department. Most work will be completed on-site at the main office though some work may be completed remotely with prior approval from the Human Resources Director.
Responsibilities
- Manages timely and accurate transfer of employee timeclock data into payroll and processes on a semi-monthly basis
- Issues and distributes employee paychecks or payroll-related documents each payday or by appointment
- Updates employee information in payroll and/or timekeeping systems as needed
- Sets up and tracks employee recurring payroll itemizations: benefit deductions, garnishments, or reimbursements
- Responds to all payroll-related government correspondence (EDD)
- Assists in posting both internal and external job postings
- Administer employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Assists the Human Resource Manager with investigations, employee onboarding, and employee counseling as needed
- Maintains organization of digital HR and payroll files
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior experience as HR specialist/generalist
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with a variety of employee personality types and can manage sensitive situations privately
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of computer programs in an office setting such as Word, Excel, etc.
- Willingness to learn or prior understanding of how to use payroll, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications
Requirements
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required; a college degree in HR preferred
- Can communicate in spoken and written English
- Is able to sit for long periods at a desk and work on a computer
- Can lift up to 15 pounds at times
