We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist that partners with management and the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to implement corporate policies, programs, and procedures across a broad range of human resources functions. This role supports diverse HR activities including employee relations, recruitment and onboarding, performance management, training and development, benefits administration, compensation, payroll, and HRIS management. The HR Generalist may specialize in one or more key functional areas such as Payroll/HRIS, Recruitment/Training or Benefits/Compensation, while maintaining a strong working knowledge of all HR disciplines. This position provides employee relations support and counseling in a manner that upholds and reinforces the Company’s Business Beliefs, Vision, Mission, and Core Values, ensuring consistent application of policies and a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:
- Builds trust by maintaining strict confidentiality and providing timely follow-up to employees and management regarding issues or concerns while serving as a role model, reinforcing company values and culture.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with required and non-required training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, certifications, and aptitude exams.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified candidates for open positions; collaborates with department managers to identify required skills and competencies, and supports and enhances the employee onboarding experience by managing communications, gathering feedback, and ensuring a best-in-class onboarding process.
- Administers and executes HR programs and processes, including payroll, compensation, benefits, leave administration, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance and talent management, employee recognition, morale initiatives, and training and development. May develop subject matter expertise in one or more of these functional areas.
- Analyzes HR data, develops recommendations, identifies trends, and generates reports using the HRIS system; provides consultation to site HR staff and employees regarding eligibility provisions and other benefits-related matters; and maintains the benefits module within the HRIS system to ensure accurate data management and timely payroll transactions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field; or any combination of education, experience and training that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- 5+ years’ relevant Human Resources experience, preferably in a unionized setting with an emphasis on employer Benefits.; Certification in PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment required; seasonal setting preferred.
- Knowledge of integrated payroll and timekeeping systems; ADP experience strongly preferred (Workforce Now, eTime).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, credit screen, and to work extended schedule during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.
Compensation:
The wage range is $85,000 - $90,000, based on experience and qualifications.
