The Fair Elections Center is looking to hire a full-time Human Resources Generalist.

Position Overview

  • Assist with identifying employment needs
  • Assist with the interview process, screening applicants about their experience, education, and skills
  • Contact references and perform background checks on job applicants as needed
  • Inform applicants about job details, such as duties, benefits, and working conditions
  • Conduct or help with new employee orientation
  • Keep employment records and process paperwork
  • Assist with employee benefits management and presentations

The human resources generalist will handle various aspects of human resources work. They may have duties in all areas of human resources including assisting in recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, as well as implementing human resources policies, procedures, and programs.

Specifically, they will be expected to help manage the recruitment and hiring process by posting job openings, screening or testing applicants if applicable, contacting references, and preparing job offers.

The human resources generalist will be expected to help guide employees through all human resources procedures and answer questions about policies.

Additional duties will entail administering benefits, assisting with payroll as needed, and handling any associated questions or problems. The incumbent will help ensure that all human resources functions comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
