GENERAL OVERVIEW: The Human Resources Generalist will serve as the primary administrative manager for the compliance of FMLA, Unemployment, Worker’s Compensation, Benefits Administration, Staff Learning & Development, Employee Relations, and will work with the HR Director in creating and implementing engagement and retention Strategies. This role is key to creating and sustaining a positive work environment where employees feel motivated to grow within the organization. This position will work directly with the HR Director in developing and implementing strategies to enhance employee engagement, increase retention and fostering a culture of staff development, staff inclusiveness and staff belonging.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Ensure administrative compliance with FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, and Unemployment laws, ensuring accurate documents, correspondence and records maintenance.
2. Process benefits administration to ensure accurate employee eligibility of coverages and conducting a quarterly audit of enrollment rosters to ensure accuracy in administration.
3. Assist staff and managers in conflict resolutions, performance coaching, and feedback sessions to improve team dynamic, employee experience and improve staff retention.
4. Support management with the development of appropriate and effective disciplinary actions.
5. Oversee the Staff Learning & Development efforts, ensuring collaboration with managers to enhance training and career pathing opportunities for employees.
6. Promote inclusion and belonging through HR Programs to include Employee Experience efforts and activities.
7. Work with the HR Director to coordinate the enhancement of services within the HR Department, to include partnerships with HRIS systems, broker relationships, and overall HR administration.
8. Develop and maintain a process for conducting Exit Interviews and establish a reporting system that will deliver results that can be used in process modifications that will improve retention.
