The HR Generalist is a core member of our People Team, supporting the full spectrum of HR operations. This role blends heart with structure: ensuring employees have positive experiences while building systems that scale with a fast-growing company. From onboarding to employee relations, compliance to culture-building, the HR Generalist helps create an environment where people thrive and the business succeeds.

Essential Functions for this Role: 

Employee Experience & Support

  • Act as a trusted resource for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Support employee relations by listening with empathy, addressing concerns fairly, and escalating when appropriate.

  • Champion Lectric’s culture by promoting inclusivity, recognition, and growth opportunities.

Operations & Systems

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, including payroll inputs, HRIS updates, benefits administration, and compliance reporting.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.

  • Partner with managers to streamline workflows such as performance reviews, time off tracking, and training initiatives.

  • Continuously assess and improve HR systems, processes, and documentation for efficiency and scalability.

  • Support office operations and environment.

Talent & Development

  • Support the recruiting process through job postings, candidate communications, and interview coordination.

  • Lead onboarding to ensure new employees feel welcomed, prepared, and connected from day one.

  • Assist in building development and training programs that align with company values and employee aspirations.

Culture & Engagement

  • Partner with the Chief of Staff and People Team to design and execute engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and employee feedback loops.

  • Help plan and support company-wide events, celebrations, and communication efforts.

  • Foster open, honest communication channels across all levels of the company.

Ideal Qualifications Include: 


  • 2-4 years of HR experience: 4 years at specialist/coordinator level or 2 as a generalist or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience with HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems.

  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented with an operations mindset.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of empathy and discretion.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing company environment.

Physical Demands:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. The team member frequently communicates with internal team members, investors and vendors. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a copy machine and printer. Occasionally moves items up to 50 lbs. for various projects.

Compensation:

  • Base salary negotiable (depending on experience) 

  • An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of experience.
