RTR is offering a $2,500 Sign on Bonus to all New Full Time Hires!

Member of the Human Resources team responsible for providing effective and consistent clerical, and administrative support to Road to Responsibility, Inc.’s Human Resources team. Support the entire employee lifecycle, assist employee relations, recruitment & retention, performance management, compensation, policy implementation, compliance, recognition, training & development, and safety & occupational health.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Perform a variety of support duties: screen and direct telephone calls, take and relay messages, make copies, scan files, data entries, process mail, order office supplies and request bill payments.
  • Compose and type letters, memoranda, and other correspondence, prepare a variety of reports pertaining to human resource programs and activities.
  • Perform customer service function by answering questions from applicants, employees, and the general public regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.
  • Assist recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel including attending job fairs, assisting background check, employ eligibility verification and new employee onboarding.
  • Work with RTR’s Quality department to record and file all trainings.
  • Maintain personnel and other HR records to ensure timely and accurate records. Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions and to respond to employment verification requests, surveys, unemployment and other requests for information.
  • Manage tuition remission, HR newsletters, employee recognition and assistance programs.
  • Renew MAP Registration for each program annually.
  • Track I-9 information and distribute monthly reports to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations. Maintain database and records.
  • Support initiatives that foster and encourage a culture and work environment of community, diversity, and inclusion, and ways in which employees can report any potential issues or violations.
  • Assist the PFML, FMLA and STD, LTD and other leaves management.
  • Assist to manage the Worker’s Compensation claims.
  • Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures.
  • Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies including Staff and Board beliefs.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and one year’s human resource or related experience, or supervisory experience with minimum three years of experience in the human resources field.
  • Capacity to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive and legally protected information a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software and have a thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Mental Retardation (DMR), and other agencies.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
