Who Will Succeed in This Role

This role is ideal for an experienced HR Generalist who thrives in operational ownership, compliance, and structure. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, confident in employment law fundamentals, and comfortable serving as a controls and governance partner rather than a purely administrative resource. They enjoy improving processes, documenting how work gets done, and partnering with leaders and employees to ensure HR practices are consistent, compliant, and scalable.


This position owns HR controls, documentation standards, and process integrity, while partnering with the HR Coordinator, who executes transactional and administrative tasks. 


Core Responsibilities


Workers’ Compensation, Leave & ADA

  • Manage workers’ compensation claims, return-to-work coordination, and carrier communication
  • Administer FMLA and other statutory leaves, including eligibility, documentation, tracking, and compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ADA accommodation requests and the interactive process
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and audit-ready records

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Review disciplinary requests and documentation for consistency, accuracy, and compliance
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to managers in partnership with HR leadership
  • Support employee relations matters and investigations as assigned

Onboarding & Offboarding Oversight

  • Leads onboarding and offboarding directly with employees (communication, facilitation, meetings)
  • Owns the employee-facing experience
  • Manages + audits all onboarding/offboarding checklists and documentation for completeness and compliance
  • Partners with the HR Coordinator, who supports admin execution; review completed actions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance

Training, LMS & Learning & Development

  • Administer the company learning management system (LMS), including course assignments, tracking, and reporting
  • Coordinate compliance training and internal learning initiatives
  • Support learning and development programs, including facilitation as needed

HR Processes, Systems & Continuous Improvement

  •  Develop and maintain HR SOPs, workflows, and documentation
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
  • Perform HR transactions and documentation management in Paylocity

Requirements


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience
  • Demonstrated experience with workers’ compensation, FMLA, and ADA administration
  • Hands-on Paylocity experience required
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) required


Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar professional certification
  • Experience supporting training and learning & development initiatives
  • Strong working knowledge of multi-state employment laws and compliance requirements
  • Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills
  • Experience in multi-site, manufacturing, or distribution environments
Salary Description
$70,000 - $80,000
