About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing multi-location organization in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations and employee engagement initiatives across multiple offices.
This is a highly visible, hands-on HR role supporting approximately 400 employees and managers. The ideal candidate will have strong employee relations experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment.
Position Overview
The HR Generalist will partner closely with managers and leadership to support onboarding, compliance, investigations, employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, and HR administration.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting employees and managers, and helping drive a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations matters and workplace investigations
- Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding
- Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Assist with policy administration and interpretation
- Support performance management initiatives and manager coaching
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Assist with compliance, reporting, and HR risk management
- Prepare month-end and ad hoc HR reports
- Support managers across multiple offices and regions
- Promote a positive and consistent workplace culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3–5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience
- Strong background in:
- Employee relations
- HR compliance and investigations
- Onboarding and orientation
- Policy interpretation
- Manager coaching
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience handling confidential information with discretion
- Experience supporting multi-location environments preferred
- Construction, service, or field-service industry experience is a plus
- Experience with Paycom is preferred
